Established in 2022, we have rapidly become a leading provider of high-quality construction equipment and transport services. Our Origins and Expertise
BC Plant & Transport Limited was officially incorporated in September 2021, but our roots in the plant and transport hire sector stretch back to the late 1990s. The combined expertise of our company directors, Tim Blake and Nick Cook, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our operations.
Tim Blake has nearly 20 years of experience in the plant hire sector, beginning his career on the hire desk before moving into sales and business development. His entrepreneurial spirit and sales skills have led to the successful establishment and growth of multiple depots, significantly contributing to our business expansion.
Nick Cook founded the original business in 1998 as an owner-operator. Since transitioning to a limited company in 2004, Nick has overseen steady growth for over two decades. Initially focusing on operated excavators up to 35 tonne, the business has expanded over the last 10 years to include a comprehensive fleet of self-drive and non-operated equipment.
A New Chapter
In 2022, Buckhurst Group acquired BC Plant & Transport. This acquisition is part of Buckhurst's strategic growth plans and marks the 10th operating location in the UK for the group. The investment from Buckhurst has enabled BC Plant to move to a larger premises based in Pontypool, South Wales.

Our speciality lies in supplying market-leading plant and equipment and fostering strong partnerships with our customers and suppliers. We offer modern equipment ranging from excavators (1 - 35 tonne), dumpers (1 - 9 tonne, including specialist dual view dumpers), tandem rollers (1 - 14 tonne, including Rammax remote control), telehandlers (5 metre to 18 metre), static plant, and a full range of attachments.
